More than a Yosemite cabin, this is a Yosemite home. With 3400 square feet of living space on three levels, Clouds Rest allows guests to spread out and find their own space. The living room is anchored by a grand fireplace and takes light from a two story wall of windows. Adjacent is the dining room with its 10 person table just as perfect for morning coffee as it is for a family holiday feast. The kitchen has a large island, modern appliances, and all the amenities a chef might require.
The loft space has ample seating and a 60 inch flat screen. An extensive library of DVD’s will make the end of each day “movie night.” A sofa bed makes the loft an extra “bedroom” when needed. The entry level basement has a large, comfortable seating area with futons and another flat screen. The futons also convert to beds if needed. Three bedrooms, each with an en suite bathroom, afford comfort and privacy at the end of the day. Outdoor dining awaits you on the rear wrap around deck where you will find a gas grill and table seating for six. Four Adirondacks are perfect for stargazing with a glass of wine. At an elevation of 5,900 feet, Clouds Rest Retreat typically has lower summer temperatures than most of Yosemite, but whole house air conditioning is at the ready for warmer days.
